As Business Support Manager, you’ll lead a small team to deliver high-quality administrative support. Working closely with service leaders and the Director, you’ll ensure that business support is responsive, efficient and aligned with organisational priorities. From managing workflows and coordinating meetings to overseeing compliance and supporting strategic projects, this role is central to enabling smooth operations. You’ll also provide confidential PA support to the Director, helping to maximise their time and effectiveness. Collaboration is key, and you’ll be part of a national network of Business Support Managers, sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement. This is a role for someone who is dynamic, inclusive and compassionate, with a strong sense of purpose and a commitment to supporting others.
 
What will a day in the life of a Business Support Manager involve?
  • Leading a small team to deliver timely and effective administrative support across services.
  • Managing incoming tasks, setting priorities and ensuring service levels are met or exceeded.
  • Supporting the Director with diary management, travel arrangements and confidential communications.
  • Coordinating meetings and events, including minute-taking and follow-up actions.
  • Overseeing compliance with internal processes and systems, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the UK to share best practice and drive innovation.
To be a successful Business Support Manager, what will you need?
  • Experience managing people and processes to meet service delivery goals.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • A track record of providing administrative support to senior managers in a busy environment.
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and the ability to travel across the Region or Devolved Nation.
