Location: Flexible across the UK (with travel to London for key teams meetings/moments)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months (Maternity cover)
Salary: £50,000 (plus inner London weighting, £3,344, if applicable) per annum

Wondering about what a day in the life of our Strategic Communications Planning Partner looks like? Here’s what you’ll be delivering:
Our Strategic Communications Planning partner will ensure we have the insights, plans, and tools to deliver impactful, audience-focused communications. You’ll horizon scan for emerging opportunities, identify knowledge gaps, and lead cross-organisational projects to strengthen our communications capability.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Supporting the leadership of our communications teams to develop and implement a communications strategy.
- Overseeing the external communications planning and briefing process.
- Partnering with directorates across the organisation to provide strategic communications advice.
- Identifying strategic gaps in the insight which informs our communications strategy and helping to address them.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of our communications and helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Resulting in better organisational collaboration, an enhanced experience for internal stakeholders. Ultimately ensuring that we reach the right audience, with the right message, at the right time.
To be a successful Strategic Communications Planning Partner you’ll need the following:
- Ability to quickly collate, analyse and comprehend large amounts of information. Can develop actionable insights from various sources of data.
- Experience in developing communication strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
- An inclusive and action-focused leadership style. The ability to bring cross-organisational teams together to influence, problem-solve and deliver the best results.
- Experience of successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to inspire, influence and engage internal and external audiences.
- A self-starter attitude; proactive and highly organised. Ability to work under pressure and often with changing priorities.
