Project Manager - Community Resilience
Location: UK Flexible (Office, Home and Community based role)
Salary: £34,999 per annum based on 35 hours per week (plus London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract to End of January 2025
A day in the life of a Community Resilience Project Manager
In this role you will be responsible for the coordination and structure involved in the development and delivery of the Community Resilience Coordination Programme across the UK. The programme is part of a partnership between British Red Cross and Aviva. It aims to enable communities to not only help each other but also become a supportive resource to the public services in emergency environments.
You will need to secure buy-in from operational and corporate departments across the organisation, to enable the ambitions of the scheme to be fulfilled.
You will also engage with all relevant project partners to secure and maintain their support throughout the implementation process. This is to ensure organisation-wide awareness and knowledge of the scheme. You will collaborate with multiple departments and service lines to aid the development of systems and processes. This should enable the scheme to be delivered on a sustainable basis.
To be successful in this Project Manager position you must have the following skills and experience:
- Have a working knowledge of the Equality Act 2010
- Significant and current technical knowledge and skills in project and programme management techniques, processes and controls
- Ability to coordinate, track and control complex projects working with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders
- Be able to develop evaluation frameworks and approaches, and understand what "good" looks like
- Experience of successfully managing projects delivering significant change
- Be confident with data analysis, report writing and being able to present updates and outcomes to varied audiences
