About The Role

Senior Regional Fundraising Manager - North
Location: North of England and Scotland (hybrid between home and meetings across the region)
Contract: Fixed term contract (12 months maternity cover)
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £45,136 - £47,199 per annum

Do you have the passion and fundraising expertise to lead a team of regional fundraisers across the north of England and Scotland? At the British Red Cross, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to join us as our Senior Regional Fundraising Manager.

A day in the life of our Senior Regional Fundraising Manager:

In this busy but rewarding role you’ll be accountable for the delivery of bold income growth objectives. It’s a strategic lead role. There's a strategic focus on our supporter-led fundraising income stream. You’ll seek to increase activity and income in this space with robust supporter journeys, effective marketing plans and oversight of our new tiered stewardship plan.
Can you work closely with the Head of Regional and Events to develop and implement strategy? Driving income growth, nurturing relationships and building supporter engagement.

You’ll support the development of a data driven culture, identifying actionable trends and insight opportunities. You’ll work closely with the analysis teams to identify areas of development and improvement. This will ensure we have compelling products to attract and engage new audiences.

We’re looking for a confident team manager who can coach, support and train their team. You'll ensure that fundraising activity is as effective as possible in your region. You’ll be responsible for your team meeting their income targets and key performance indicators. You’ll champion collaboration, inspiring people to work together to maximise opportunities. You’ll ensure that the team is focused on our fundraising strategy and delivering the best quality products for our supporters.

Stakeholder engagement is key to this role. You’ll work with integrity and purpose in your working relationships. You’ll be seen as a “go-to” expert for the wider team, giving advice and guidance to ensure success. In addition, you’ll be the key contact for critical relationships with several external agencies and delivery partners.

Fundraising is the building block of the Red Cross, without it there'd be no Emergency First Aid, no Refugee Support, and no Disaster Relief. Our team share the same goal - to spread the power of kindness and help those in greatest need.

What does it take to be a Senior Regional Fundraising Manager?
  • Extensive fundraising experience, skills and knowledge of regional, community and volunteer led fundraising. A track record of growing income from these income streams.
  • Knowledge of charity and data protection regulation, including GDPR requirements and how they impact on fundraising.
  • A strong team leader. The ability to inspire others to work collaboratively to maximise opportunities.
  • Excellent understanding data analysis and how this should inform product development. Possessing an excellent grasp of Google Analytics, digital marketing user journeys and CRM platforms.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to use insights from credible sources for developing events and maximising fundraising.
  • Experience of establishing effective relationships at all levels to influence and enable decision making. You are a great ‘team player’ who has the flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Interested? Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 16th October 2024. Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing Monday 28th October 2024.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:
  • Holidays: 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
  • Pension scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
  • Flexible working: We do our best to accommodate your preferred work style.
  • Learning & Development: Wide range of career opportunities + comprehensive learning.
  • Discounts: Access to Blue Light Discount Card and employee benefits platform.
  • Wellbeing Support: Access to mental health and wellbeing assistance.
  • Team Working: Support our mission in a collaborative team.
  • Cycle2Work: Lease a bicycle through the scheme.
  • Season ticket loan: Interest-free loan for commuting expenses.
At The British Red Cross, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff and volunteers. We remain committed to ensuring our teams can bring their true selves to work without risk or fear of discrimination. We do this through regular data reporting, and the support of our internal Race and Equality Network (REEN), LGBT+ Network, our Disability and Wellness Network (DAWN), Gender Network, Carers Network and Youth Network.

Together, we are the world's emergency responders
