A day in the life of the Senior Director of People will involve:
- Leading and assuring progress on the people strategy to ensure alignment with organisational values and setting actionable goals.
- Collaborating with team leads to explore innovative approaches that enhance service delivery and sustain organisational growth.
- Analysing people analytics reports to measure success in recruitment, retention, and development initiatives while driving data-informed decisions.
- Overseeing the creation of workforce plans emphasising diversity and inclusion to align with organisational needs and community demographics.
- Participating in designing leadership development programs to ensure a strong, future-ready pipeline of leaders.
To be a successful Senior Director of People, you’ll need:
- To be MCIPD qualified or possess equivalent expertise through experience or study.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a connected culture aligned with strategic priorities.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and a track record of driving organisational change in complex environments.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering people-oriented strategies, organisational development, and building a performance culture.
- Expertise in utilising data and KPIs to improve workforce management and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
