About The Role

Location: Moorgate, London
Contract type: Permanent

Do you want to help transform fundraising at the British Red Cross? We’ve started out on a journey of change, but we know that there is more to do to ensure that we are there for people in crisis for many more years to come. And we’re looking for an exceptional Head of Fundraising Strategic Planning and Projects to help us.

What you will be doing
In this newly created UK-based role, you’ll work with and across the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement Directorate (FRSE) and other key teams to lead on crucial projects and work streams to develop and deliver our fundraising vision, strategy, and business plans and the overall coordination of Directorate activity.

You’ll help us gather and apply great insight (both from our brilliant in-house insight teams and the wider external context) to generate excellent fundraising performance, to think about new and different ways to deliver our activity and to ensure our supporter needs are at the heart of our plans.

You’ll build strong relationships and lead and motivate your team to affect change within the Directorate.

You will lead colleagues across fundraising, communications and marketing to plan and prioritise our public facing activity and support the development of our digital fundraising capabilities, making sure we are efficient, joined up and focused on the key activities, audiences and channels that will enable us to succeed.

And you’ll make sure that we are set up well to respond to change, with great internal communications and a strong learning and development offer.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising Strategy, you will be a key player in our Fundraising Leadership team and will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and representing BRC in relevant external relationships and wider sector conversations.

This role might be for you if:
You are an experienced senior fundraising practitioner (ideally across more than one fundraising discipline) with excellent knowledge of the charity fundraising sector.

You have strategic planning experience, including commissioning and interpretation of insight and analysis, and its application within the planning process.

You can lead on complex planning and project management, being skilled at motivating teams and facilitating multiple projects from inception to delivery.

You have great communication and facilitation skills with the ability to partner and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.

You are an experienced leader and manager, able to motivate your team and lead by example

Please read the Role Profile for more information about this position.

Closing date for applications is 23:59 on the 29th of October 2020.
First stage interviews are scheduled to be held week commencing 9th of November (via Zoom)

We offer a wide range of staff benefits, these include:
- 36 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- Option to buy an extra 5 days annual leave
- Up to 6% contributory pension
- Flexible working policy
- Genuine investment in your development
