This is a strategic leadership role at the heart of the British Red Cross. Are you passionate about shaping health and care services that truly make a difference? Do you want to lead a team that supports people to live safely and independently after a crisis? As Director of Health & Care, you’ll drive innovation, champion inclusion, and ensure our services meet the needs of communities across the UK. You’ll work closely with leaders and frontline teams to deliver real impact - locally and nationally.
 
A day in the life of a Director of Health & Care will involve:
  • Leading the strategic direction of health and care services across the UK.
  • Collaborating with leaders, partners, and stakeholders to shape service delivery.
  • Overseeing operational performance, budgets, and quality assurance.
  • Championing innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement across teams.
To be a successful Director of Health & Care, you’ll need:
  • Proven senior leadership experience in health and social care environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to influence at board level.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • A passion for inclusive leadership and delivering services that put people in crisis first.
