Location: London (Hybrid with visits to the London office) 
Salary: £94,000 - £113,000 per annum  
Hours: 35 per week

We’re looking for a dynamic Director of Data and Insightto lead our organisational data strategy and transform the BRC into a data-driven organisation. In this unique role, you’ll lead our multi-disciplinary Data & Insight Hub, delivering value from data across data engineering & architecture, analytics, culture & community and governance.

What will a day in the life of the Director of Data and Insight look like? You’ll: 

  • Lead and deliver our data strategy and roadmap, embedding data-driven decision making across the organisation. 
  • Champion data culture and community development, raising skills and literacy across the BRC 
  • Oversee data governance and ethics, ensuring compliance and safeguarding trust. 
  • Provide strategic oversight of data platforms, products, and technologies, aligning investments with organisational priorities. 
  • Deliver strategic insight and analytics that influence executive decision-making and drive impact. 
  • Build and inspire a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, nurturing talent and communicating a clear vision for the future. 

 

To be a successful Director of Data and Insight, what do you need? 

  • Significant experience in senior data leadership roleswithin complex organisations, leading multi-disciplinary data teams. 
  • A track record of delivering data strategies and transformation initiativesthat create measurable impact. 
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, ethics, regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR), and data quality improvement. 
  • Deep understanding ofdata ecosystems, from engineering and architecture to analytics and insight. 
  • Proven track record of delivering value from data and insight 
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at the highest levels.
