Senior Technology Project Manager

Salary: £51,658 to £69,882 per annum, pro rata (plus Inner London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable)
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Fixed Term (18 months)

As a Senior Technology Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering impactful projects across our business and technology portfolios. Working within a collaborative and values-driven team, you’ll lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of both technical and non-technical projects. You’ll manage multiple workstreams, engage with diverse stakeholders, and ensure that each project delivers real value. From shaping project scope and timelines to championing change and mentoring colleagues, your expertise will help us build stronger, more resilient systems that support our humanitarian mission.
What will a day in the life of a Senior Technology Project Manager involve? You'll be:
- Leading multiple complex projects that support our strategic goals and deliver real-world impact.
- Managing project scope, timelines, budgets and risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define success and keep everyone informed and engaged.
- Creating clear, accessible project documentation and communication materials.
- Supporting change by ensuring training and communication plans are in place and effective.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to build capability and consistency.
- Driving continuous improvement through open dialogue, learning and innovation.
What will you need to be a successful Senior Technology Project Manager?
- A current project management certification such as Agile, PRINCE2, APMG or PMP/PMI.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects (technical and non-technical) with complex interdependencies.
- Strong knowledge of both agile and traditional project methodologies.
- Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in technologies such as software development, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
- Excellent business stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with technical audiences and suppliers.
- A track record of delivering business change and managing project budgets effectively.
- Advanced skills in project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or SharePoint.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and promoting diversity in all aspects of work.
