Enterprise Data Architect
Location: UK flexible location (remote)
Salary: £56,360 to £64,210 per annum, (plus ILW, if residing & working in London)
Hours: 35 per week, Flexible (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
Contract: Permanent
Could you help us act upon the latest data and insights to design our services, partner and convene, raise income, and advocate for change?
Could you help enable evidence-based decision-making across British Red Cross and in the broader movement?
Taking a use-case based approach, could you be responsible for building Data Architecture designs, strategies, governance and principles, ensuring new systems and data products are developed?
What will a day in the life of an Enterprise Data Architect involve?
- Provide architectural support for the data and insight technical ecosystem, including the data platform and insight tools, and the integration of new data sources into the ecosystem
- Consult and advise spokes and Technology on the data and insight technology architecture, with particular focus on how directorate-specific tools and platforms integrate with the data and insight architecture
- Design the structural framework for how data is organised, stored, integrated, and used
- Establish standards for data models, databases, integration patterns, and data definitions
- Create and maintain data flow diagrams showing how information moves through systems
To be a successful Enterprise Data Architect, what will you need?
- Strong ability to influence within the organisation
- Excellent ability to communicate data and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques (dimensional, relational, etc.)
- Proficiency in database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data solutions
