About The Role

Service Support Worker (x18 positions)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours per week: Full-time 35hrs per week. Shift patterns: 7am to 2pm or 4pm to 10pm. Service Operates Monday to Sunday; 7am to 10pm.
Salary: £18,236 per annum pro rata (£10.02 per hour)
Location: Dundee (requires travel within the area)
 
Applications will be accepted for part-time hours 16hrs & 24hrs as well as 35hrs
 
Working with the Red Cross you will be; paid from start to end of your shift including travel time, receive 45p per mile for mileage expenses claims

The Independent Living & Crisis Response service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services.

Also, you should be the following:
  • Educated to Standard Grade/GCSE level (or equivalent by experience)
  • IT literate
  • Full driving licence holder and access to own vehicle (Preferred though not essential)
  • Have a good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care

The closing date for application is 23.59 on Monday 31st of January 2022 with interviews ongoing.

This role requires use of full Personal Protective Equipment, including Fluid resistant face masks, to be worn at all times while delivering services. This will be provided for you. 
 
The role will involve frontline work with vulnerable services users and will not always allow for a 2 meter social distance to be maintained. You will be asked to complete a Risk assessment to confirm you are able to take up Frontline work, at onboarding stage. If you consider yourself to be a person at greater risk from Covid or you are unable to wear a facemask for long periods of time then this role may not be suitable for you.
