ED&I and Wellbeing Manager

Hours per week: 35 (typically Mon – Fri)
Salary range: £45,500 - £50,225 (plus £3,344 Inner London Weighting, if applicable) per annum

A Day in the life of our EDI & Wellbeing Manager
In this rewarding role you’ll collaborate closely with the wider Leadership team to drive a whole organisational approach to achieving our ED&I and Wellbeing goals within the British Red Cross Strategy 2030.
You’ll deputise for the Strategic People Lead as and when required. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, and various Steering and Working Groups to develop, and refresh our ED&I and Wellbeing strategy. You'll ensure that it's ambitious but also achievable.
You'll implement and operationalise our strategy by facilitating and supporting collective delivery across our priority impact actions for 2025. These are: Dignity at Work, Anti-racism and Equitable recruitment. You'll measure and evaluate progress and success of these initiatives, and how we are performing against our strategy.
You'll communicate our achievements to a variety of stakeholders. You'll illuminate where we need to continue to focus (and why) in an engaging and compelling way. You’ll confidently provide advice, direction and support for work being led by other staff within the ED&I and Wellbeing Team, wider People Services Team, volunteers and contractors.
You will be responsible for leading on our high-risk programmes such as our work on Anti-racism, ensuring this is evidence and data led and is making the impact we want. You'll be analytical and proactive in understanding where consistent issues and problems are occurring and why. You'll seek ways to improve the quality of our ED&I and Wellbeing delivery by being innovative and creative in our organisational approach.

The role of ED&I and Wellbeing Manager might be for you if you have:
- Commitment to and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion issues within a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Competence in evaluating our ED&I and wellbeing activities, driving improvements, and providing actionable recommendations.
- Proven success in strategy development, planning and delivery.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills with ability to manage competing demands.
- Ability to communicate with range of stakeholders; from people with lived experiences up to senior organisational leadership.
- Proven success in working with cross-functional teams i.e. Learning and Development, Policy teams etc.
- Experience of identifying and using a range of sources to produces reports that combine different types of data. Ability to analyse and present basic data for reporting.
