Join our Refugee Support team as a Casework Coordinator and become a vital force for positive change! You'll coordinate and deliver casework services for asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants in Derby and Nottingham. This hybrid role involves working from our offices and from home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that empowers individuals to regain control of their lives. You'll manage volunteer teams, engage service users in service development, and build strong external partnerships. Does this sound like you? What will a day in the life of a Casework Coordinator involve? You'll be:
  • Supporting service users with high-quality, person-centred casework in Derby and Nottingham.
  • Overseeing and supporting volunteers, including their training and development for effective service delivery.
  • Facilitating service user feedback and involvement in service development.
  • Building strong relationships with external partners and managing associated risks and safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection standards.
  • Implementing monitoring and evaluation procedures.
 
To be a successful Casework Coordinator, You’ll need:
  • To understand issues affecting asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable migrants.
  • Knowledge of the rights and entitlements for reunited refugees and their families, and the ability to advise on asylum and immigration policies.
  • Experience working with other agencies and handling casework for vulnerable clients.
  • Great organisational and time management skills to plan, manage, and prioritise workloads, including helping volunteers.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to talk effectively with people whose first language isn't English.
  • To be comfortable using IT, especially Microsoft Office.
