Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? Can you work as part of a team that uses a portfolio of education products to teach crucial subjects such as first aid, empathy plus migration, humanitarianism and much more?

As a Digital Product Specialist, you’ll be focused on the continuous, insight-driven improvement of the digital components of the education portfolio. You’ll use your expertise to advocate in the use of modern digital practices across the products.

A Day in the Life of a Digital Product Specialist
Working as part of a Community Education scrum team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • optimising user experience across digital products within the portfolio,
  • continually gathering insight from users,
  • evaluating performance against KPIs, and
  • working with squad members and partner teams to generate and evaluate ideas and implement improvements.

You’ll champion user-centred and digital design principles, accessibility, data-driven decision making and iterative, incremental delivery.

When necessary, you’ll act as a bridge between the Community Education scrum team and the specialist roles within the Digital team and wider Digital, Data & Technology department. Bringing in expertise from UX/UI designers, performance analysts, engineers and external partners.

Alongside other members of the digital product team, you’ll be responsible for leveraging the most value from the digital products and platforms within the portfolio and wider BRC digital estate.

What you’ll bring to the role
We’re looking for someone with a broad range of digital skills and experience. With a background in either educational digital product development, delivery management or UX, you will have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across a variety of teams, roles and skill levels
  • Analytical skills. The ability to extract insights from a variety of sources, including performance data and user research/feedback
  • Organisation and delivery skills. A track record of working with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver enhancements to websites and mobile apps
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge and experience of working in an agile environment

Interested? Closing date for applications is 23.59 on Sunday 16th April 2025. Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing Monday 5th May 2025.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:

  • Holidays: 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
  • Pension scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
  • Flexible working: We do our best to accommodate your preferred work style.
