As a Community Education Coordinator, you’ll lead the delivery of inclusive and engaging learning opportunities that help people build the skills and confidence to respond to life’s challenges. Working closely with volunteers, community partners and targeted groups, you’ll coordinate and deliver sessions that support resilience, wellbeing and connection. You’ll manage relationships, support funded projects, and ensure that all education activities meet national quality standards. This role blends creativity, collaboration and leadership to make a real difference in people’s lives—helping communities feel more prepared, supported and empowered through education.
What will a day in the life of a Community Education Coordinator involve? You'll be:
- Connecting with local organisations to build strong partnerships.
- Delivering engaging education sessions to adults and young people.
- Supporting volunteers to grow their skills and confidence.
- Using feedback to shape and improve learning experiences.
- Managing resources and logistics to keep things running smoothly.
- Helping communities become more resilient through inclusive learning.
What will you need to be a successful Community Education Coordinator?
- Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating learning activities.
- Experience working with marginalised/vulnerable groups.
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Confidence in managing volunteers and supporting their development.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse communities and partners.
- A recognised qualification in education, training or facilitation (or equivalent experience).
- A commitment to inclusion, compassion and empowering others.
