Job Title: Business Development Support Officer

Salary: £25,469 to £26,945 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Fixed Term (maternity cover - 9 months)

As a Business Development Support Officer, you’ll be a key part of a team working to grow and improve health and social care services delivered by the British Red Cross. You’ll support the Business Development Manager by managing contract documentation, tracking stakeholder engagement, and maintaining accurate records across our systems. This role involves a mix of administrative coordination, research, and collaboration with colleagues across the UK. You’ll help ensure our services are well-organised, compliant, and ready to meet the needs of people in crisis. With a focus on inclusivity, kindness, and efficiency, you’ll contribute to a team that’s making a real difference every day.
What will a day in the life of a Business Development Support Officer involve? You'll be:
- Supporting contract renewals and making sure all documents are clearly organised and audit-ready.
- Keeping stakeholder maps and engagement records up to date.
- Maintaining the sales pipeline by logging decisions and tracking progress.
- Using systems to store and manage data securely and accurately.
- Acting as the first point of contact for business enquiries when needed.
- Helping to prepare reports that show how our services are growing and improving.
What will you need to be a successful Business Development Support Officer?
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle competing priorities.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and online systems to manage data and documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and clear communication, both written and spoken.
- Experience providing administrative support in a process-driven environment.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain high standards across multiple tasks.
