Funds Analyst

The British Red Cross is seeking a Funds Analyst to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of the BRC Insured Funding model, our restricted funding streams and cost recovery processes.

A day in the life of a Funds Analyst will involve:

As Funds Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor and influencer across the organisation, supporting the successful implementation of the BRC Insured Funding model and Total Funds approach.

You will provide excellent oversight of restricted Funds raised through Fundraising and spent across UK Operations and International teams. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that policies and processes are respected, and helping to resolve complex funding scenarios with confidence and precision.

You will also lead on monitoring the implementation of the Contribution to Cost policy and ensuring that Cost Recovery is optimised across the British Red Cross restricted portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on restricted funds raised via Fundraising and Marketing, and spent via UK and International teams, ensuring a successful implementation of the BRC Insured Funding model and Total Funds approach.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to restricted funding.
• Support the implementation and tracking of the Contribution to Cost policy.
• Optimise Cost Recovery across the British Red Cross restricted portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve funding-related challenges and improve financial transparency.

To be a successful Funds Analyst, you’ll need the following skills and experience:

• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information.
• Proven experience in providing financial insight and advice to a range of stakeholders.
• Highly computer literate, with experience using computerised financial systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Skilled in developing business partnering relationships across multiple teams, balancing diverse stakeholder needs to ensure true partnership.
• Effective and efficient decision-making skills, both independently and collaboratively, with sound judgement on when to escalate complex issues.
