Salary: £26,341 - £27,661 per annum (plus ILW, £3,344, if residing & working in London)
35 hours per week (typically Mon – Fri)

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have excellent communication skills and a knack for building relationships? The British Red Cross is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Engagement Support to join our team!
As Volunteer Engagement Support, you will play a crucial role in supporting our volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience.
A day in the life of our Volunteer Engagement Support
• Creating a positive volunteering environment – one that informs, consults, fosters camaraderie, motivates and empowers volunteers to reach their full potential.
• You’ll be part of a rota response for the Volunteer Support Line (VSL). The line provides a listening ear for volunteers. It’s a safe space to share any issues or concerns, and signpost to further help if necessary.
• Collaborating with colleagues to capture engagement needs and create targeted, inclusive communications for volunteers.
• You will build strong relationships with our volunteers, understanding their needs, and providing ongoing support.
• Event Coordination: Organizing volunteer events and recognition activities to celebrate their contributions.
• Administrative Support: Managing volunteer records, updating databases, and handling general administrative tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent writing and editing copy skills to inform and inspire other.
• Proficiency and confidence in using multiple IT applications to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in volunteer and event management.
• Passion for the mission of the British Red Cross.
