About The Role

Job Title: Senior Legacy Officer
Job Location: UK Flexible
Salary: £40,000 - £43,00 per annum  
Hours: 35 per week
Contract Type: Fixed term contract (12 months) 
 
We are committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Legacy Officer to join our team.

 A day in the life of a Senior Legacy Officer will involve:

  • You will work closely with supporters, solicitors, and internal teams to maximise and defend our legacy income.
  • Monitoring the team’s contentious and complex cases.
  • Providing advice on complex matters to your colleagues.
  • A key aspect of this role will be to lead the implementation of FirstClass in 2025, with the support of the Senior Legacy Income manager.
  • You will also be responsible for your caseload of up to 250 residuary cases.
  • Supporting the wider team projects to help drive efficiency.
  • Being part of an innovative team who continuously strive to be the best. 

To be a successful Senior Legacy Officer, You will have the following skills and experience:

  • You will be able to demonstrate technical expertise in contentious and complex cases.
  • Experience in providing advice and guidance to other colleagues.
  • Managing your own caseload of contentious, complex and high-value legacies.
  • Good working knowledge of FirstClass4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

Please note that we are currently trialling a four-day working week in the aim for a better work/life balance.
