As Risk Manager, you'll play a key role in embedding a proactive and inclusive risk culture across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues at all levels, you'll provide expert advice, deliver training, and support the development of effective risk management systems. You'll help ensure risks are identified, assessed and mitigated in line with organisational appetite, while contributing to emergency preparedness and business continuity. This is a collaborative role where your insight will inform decision-making and strengthen resilience across diverse teams and services.
 
What will a day in the life of a Risk Manager involve? You'll be:
  • Supporting colleagues to understand, assess and manage risks with confidence and clarity.
  • Delivering training that builds awareness and strengthens a healthy risk culture.
  • Collaborating with teams to improve systems and controls following risk events.
  • Preparing reports and insights that inform leadership and governance decisions.
  • Investigating emerging risks and external events to keep the organisation ahead.
  • Building strong relationships that foster shared ownership of risk across all levels.
What will you need to be a successful Risk Manager?

  • Proven experience reducing risk in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Skilled at influencing stakeholders, including senior leaders, to drive collective action.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to generate insight from varied sources.
  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Committed to inclusive practice and promoting diversity in all aspects of work.
