Location: Flexible across the UK (with frequent working in our London office)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract for 12 months (Maternity cover)
Salary Range: £37,483 - £39,014 (plus Inner London weighting, £3,344, if applicable) per annum

As our Marketing and Communications Manager, Partnerships, you’ll lead communications activity for the British Red Cross’ partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery. You’ll be developing and delivering integrated campaigns that raise the profile of the partnership and supports our shared strategic goals. Wondering about what a day in the life of our Marketing and Communications Manager, Partnerships looks like? Here’s what you’ll be delivering:
- Development and delivery of marketing and communications with the People’s Postcode Lottery. You’ll be the focal point for communications for this important partnership. You’ll ensure our communications activities meet the objectives of both brands.
- Project manage the development and delivery of the partnership communications’ plan. Co-ordinating across teams to ensure that activity is delivered to time, within budget and delivers against clearly set outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with the partner’s communications team, you’ll ensure that all stakeholders are clear on their responsibilities and deliverables. You’ll foster commitment and engagement in the overall partnership.
- Strategic planning: You’ll ensure engagement plans build from our overarching brand strategy, helping to drive brand relevance.
- Strengthening with the delivery of partnerships marketing and communications activities across key partnerships and programmes. Identifying and leverage opportunities, thinking creatively, strategically and critically about partner opportunities and campaign development.
To be a successful Marketing and Communications Manager, Partnerships you’ll need the following:
- Expertise in branding. Strong understanding of brand positioning, creative judgment and the ability to empower stakeholders in effective brand usage.
- Experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders. Strong networking skills, diplomacy and building relationships of trust.
- Confident communication style and strong presentation skills. Ability to influence and negotiate effectively across multiple teams.
- Strong project management skills across planning, delivery and evaluation. Capability to coordinate complex schedules.
- Experience of planning and implementing multi-channel communications strategies; creating clear and integrated communication plans.
- Experience of briefing content into external or internal creative agencies.
- Competence in evaluating marketing activities, driving improvements, and providing actionable recommendations.
- A self-starter attitude; proactive and highly organised. Ability to work under pressure and often with changing priorities.
Please Note: The location is flexible. However to ensure we foster a strong and collaborative team culture there will be an expectation to be in the London office for a certain number of days per month. The expectation of days will be based on ongoing projects and on your home location/commute.
