About The Role

Head of Resilience Delivery
Location: Flexible (UK based, with monthly travel to London office)
Salary: £61,641 - £69,986 per annum (plus ILW, £3,344, if applicable)
Hours: 35 per week (plus on-call responsibilities)
Contract: Permanent

Are you ready to lead life-changing work that helps people across the UK when they have nowhere else to turn? Do you want to use your leadership skills to shape how communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises? As Head of Resilience Delivery, you’ll play a vital role in how the British Red Cross supports people through all stages of emergencies and builds long-term resilience. You’ll help shape and lead a national team delivering humanitarian services across England. You’ll be the subject matter expert for crisis response across the UK.

This is a chance to be part of a bold transformation. You’ll be part of a department that’s evolving to deliver across the full resilience cycle; from preparation to recovery. We need a leader who can guide teams through change, build strong partnerships, and keep the needs of people at the heart of everything we do.

What your week might look like:

  • Meeting with emergency services, local authorities, and voluntary sector partners to strengthen joint offers.
  • Supporting your teams to deliver impactful services that help communities prepare for and recover from crises.
  • Advising senior leaders on how BRC should respond to major national emergencies and leading them when they happen.
  • Collaborating with strategy and product teams to shape new services that meet emerging needs.
  • Championing the voices of those we support, ensuring our work reflects real-life challenges and opportunities.

To be the Head of Resilience Delivery you’ll need to be:

  • A credible and compassionate leader with experience in crisis response and humanitarian delivery.
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and can make confident decisions.
  • A skilled collaborator who builds trust with internal teams and external partners.
  • A strategic thinker who can lead change and inspire others through uncertainty.
  • A passionate advocate for people in crisis, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
