About The Role

Job Title: Senior Support Assistant

You would carry out an administrative role for our Refugee Support Team who provide caring, safe, and empowering support to distressed people in vulnerable situations.
 
A day in the life of a Senior Support Assistant:
  • You will  provide administrative and operational support functions to the Refugee Support team in accordance with the needs of the team and corporate requirements.
  • You will produce reports and updates on projects as required.
  • You will analyse information and make appropriate decisions about action required.
  • You will deal with external enquiries and carry out triage functions as appropriate in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures and safeguarding protocols.
To be a successful Senior Support Assistant:
  • Do you have experience of working in an administrative role?
  • Do you have experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of issues relating to asylum seekers, refugees and other vulnerable migrants?
  • Do you have the ability to remain neutral and respect client's confidentiality?
  • Do you have excellent organisational skills, able to plan and manage workloads efficiently.
  • Are you IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office packages?
  • Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills?
